What To Expect

Day 1: Arrive in Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, you will meet our representative, who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel for check-in. Spend your evening at your leisure or choose to join the optional tour.

Start Time: 7:00 PM

Duration: 2 hours

Delight in a captivating 2-hour Pyramid Light and Sound Show at the Giza Plateau. Watch as the Sphinx and pyramids come alive with colourful projections and lasers, accompanied by an informative audio commentary on the history of Ancient Egypt set to enchanting music.

Destination Nugget: Cairo, the largest city in the Middle East and the Arab world, is located in Northern Egypt, also known as Lower Egypt. It is 165 km south of the Mediterranean Sea and 120 km west of the Gulf of Suez and the Suez Canal. This bustling metropolis is intimately connected with Ancient Egypt, featuring the world-renowned Giza Pyramids and the ancient city of Memphis.

Day 2: Full-Day City Tour of Cairo

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a comprehensive city tour of Cairo.

Highlights of the Day:

Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx.

Explore the papyrus fair and learn about the art of papyrus-making.

Tour a local perfume factory.

Stop by a cotton shop to see traditional textiles.

Wander through Khan El Khalili Bazaar, famous for its vibrant atmosphere and local crafts.

Visit the Egyptian Museum to admire ancient artefacts, including the treasures of Tutankhamun.

Destination Nugget: In addition to the Great Pyramids, the Sphinx is among Egypt’s most iconic monuments, built as a representation of the Egyptian sun deity, Horemakhet (Horus of the Horizon).

Day 3: Day at Leisure in Cairo

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, check out and spend the day at your leisure exploring Cairo. In the evening, proceed to the train station to board your train to Aswan, where dinner will be served on board.

Day 4: Aswan City Tour and Embark on Nile Cruise

Have breakfast on board the train. Upon arrival at Aswan Train Station, you will be greeted by our representative. Spend the day visiting top attractions in Aswan, including:

  • The Aswan High Dam
  • The Unfinished Obelisk, the world’s largest
  • The Aswan Low Dam

Later, head to the Nile cruise port to embark on your cruise, check-in, and enjoy dinner on board.

Destination Nugget: Aswan is Egypt’s southernmost city, historically important as a link between ancient Egyptian and other African civilizations.

Day 5: Nile Cruise to Abu Simbel and Kom Ombo

Rise early (4:00 AM) and board an air-conditioned coach to Abu Simbel, equipped with a breakfast box. Visit the remarkable temples at Abu Simbel before returning to the ship.

The cruise will set sail at 1:00 PM towards Kom Ombo, where you’ll visit the fascinating Kom Ombo Temple.

The evening is free for you to relax until dinner aboard the cruise.

Overnight: Nile Cruise (Sail to Edfu) 

Destination Nugget: The Nile River flows through 11 African countries, serving as a crucial lifeline for millions who live along its banks.

Day 6: Edfu Temple and Relaxation on the Nile

After breakfast, visit the impressive Edfu Temple dedicated to the god Horus. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure, relaxing on the cruise and soaking in the serene beauty of the Nile.

Overnight: Nile Cruise (Sail to Luxor)

Destination Nugget: The Edfu Temple was built during the Ptolemaic Period when the realm was ruled by Pharaohs of Greek origin, and the inscriptions on the walls tell us much about this period.

Day 7: Luxor Tour and Transfer to Hurghada

Enjoy breakfast aboard the cruise before disembarking. Visit notable sites in Luxor:

  • The Valley of the Kings—explore the tombs of famous pharaohs, including Tutankhamun.
  • The Colossi of Memnon—visit the two gigantic stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.
  • The Temple of Hatshepsut—experience the grandeur of Egypt’s first female pharaoh’s mortuary temple.
  • Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple—witness the incredible temples adorned with hieroglyphics and towering columns that showcase the glory of ancient Egyptian architecture.

Transfer to Hurghada

Drive Time: 4 hours (approximately 282 km)

After completing the Luxor tour, board a deluxe coach for the scenic drive to Hurghada, a beautiful resort town on the Red Sea. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel.

Destination Nugget: The Valley of the Kings houses over 60 tombs of some of the most well-known monarchs of Egpyt, including King Tutankhamun, Seti I, and Ramses II

Day 8: Relaxation in Hurghada

Enjoy a leisurely day soaking up the sun on the sandy beaches of Hurghada. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or exploring the vibrant marine life through snorkelling or diving, take advantage of this beautiful coastal destination.

Destination Nugget: Hurghada was a small fishing village until oil was discovered in 1913, which transformed it into a thriving tourist hotspot.

Day 9: Transfer from Hurghada to Amman via Cairo

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and proceed to the bus station to board your bus (SUPER JET) to Cairo.

Transfer to Cairo

Drive Time: 6 hours (approximately 548 km)

On arrival in Cairo, meet and greet our representative for your transfer to the airport for your flight to Amman.

Note: The road journey from Hurghada to Cairo can be quite tiring. Alternatively, a flight from Hurghada to Amman via Cairo is available for your convenience.

Upon arrival in Amman, proceed to your hotel for check-in.

Day 10: Amman to Petra via Mt. Nebo and Madaba

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then check out and proceed on a scenic tour encompassing Mt. Nebo and Madaba.

Madaba and Mt. Nebo:

Known as the City of Mosaics, Madaba is famous for its stunning sixth-century Byzantine mosaic map of Jerusalem. Explore this historic city with its beautiful churches and shops showcasing local crafts. Afterwards, visit Mt. Nebo for panoramic views of the Promised Land, believed to be the site where Moses viewed the land before his death.

Transfer to Petra

Continue your journey to Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Tour of Petra:

Enter this remarkable city through a 1 km long narrow gorge, known as the Siq, flanked by soaring cliffs. Marvel at the incredible rock-cut tombs, the impressive Al-Khazneh (the Treasury), Roman-style theatres, columned streets, and intricate temples. Petra is not only an archaeological wonder but also a breathtaking example of the fusion of Hellenistic architecture and Eastern traditions.

Destination Nugget: Originally established by the Nabatean civilization, Petra acted as a trading hub for centuries, showcasing stunning architectural achievements carved directly into the rose-red sandstone cliffs.

Day 11: Petra to Wadi Rum

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and head south towards Wadi Rum, another spectacular Jordanian destination.

Visit to Wadi Rum:

Embark on a thrilling 1.5-hour jeep tour of Wadi Rum, often referred to as the “Valley of the Moon.” Experience the stunning desert landscapes characterized by towering sandstone mountains and unique rock formations. Explore natural wonders like the Burdah Rock Bridge and partake in a relaxing visit to Lawrence’s Spring, named after T.E. Lawrence.

Transfer to Amman

Drive Time: 3 hours

After your exciting explorations, return to Amman and check in at your hotel.
