What To Expect

Day 1: Siena - Florence

Arrive in Florence, where our representatives will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in.

Excursion to Pisa (5 hours 30 minutes, no entrance fees)

Kick off your vacation with an exhilarating excursion through the stunning Tuscan countryside to the enchanting city of Pisa, renowned worldwide for its iconic monuments and prestigious university. Join a walking tour with a professional guide at the Piazza dei Miracoli, where you’ll be awed by the remarkable exterior of the Baptistery and the Leaning Tower. A guided tour inside the Pisa Cathedral follows (except in case of long queues), showcasing Romanesque art from the 11th and 12th centuries. Finally, ascend the 294 spiral steps to the top of the Leaning Tower, made famous by its precarious tilt caused by unstable ground.

Destination Nugget: Pisa is the birthplace of Galileo Galilei, one of the most influential figures in modern science.

Day 2: Florence: At Leisure

Enjoy a day at your leisure in Florence!

Destination Nugget: Florence was the first European city to pave its streets, completing this monumental task in 1339 with funding from donations by banks and wealthy merchants.

Day 3: Florence - Venice

After check-out, proceed to the train station to board your train to Venice. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy a leisurely afternoon at your leisure.

Destination Nugget: Venice is famous not only for its extensive canal system but also for its 417 bridges, of which 72 are private.

Day 4: Venice: Murano, Burano, and Torcello Tour (4 hours)

Set sail for Murano, passing by the Public Gardens, San Giorgio Maggiore Island, Sant’Elena, and the renowned Lido beach resort. Murano is world-famous for its ancient glass-making industry. Enjoy a 40-minute visit to one of its glass factories, followed by a 30-minute stop on the picturesque island of Burano, celebrated for its lace-making and brightly coloured fishermen’s houses. Continue your cruise to Torcello, the oldest centre of civilization in the lagoon, where you can admire the remnants of its historical significance reflected in the church of Santa Fosca and the Torcello Cathedral. Spend about 30 minutes in Torcello for photos before returning to St. Mark’s Square. The tour includes boat transportation and visits to the glass factory.

Destination Nugget: Murano glass is initially colourless; vivid hues are achieved by incorporating minerals and oxides during the manufacturing process.

Day 5: Venice - Naples

Check out of your hotel and travel to the train station for your journey to Naples. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and unwind for the day.

Destination Nugget: Naples was originally founded by the Greeks, deriving its name from “Neapolis,” which means “New City” in Greek.

Day 6: Naples: Full-Day Tour of Capri and Anacapri with Lunch (8 hours)

Experience a memorable tour of the stunning island of Capri. Board the ferry at Molo Beverello for a 45-minute cruise to the island. Here, enjoy a guided introduction to the island’s designer boutiques located in Anacapri, Marina Grande, Via Camerelle, Via Tragara, and the Gardens of Augustus.

This tour includes round-trip jetfoil transportation from Naples to Capri, guide services, lunch (drinks not included), and minibus transportation on Capri.

Destination Nugget: The Gardens of Augustus were established by German industrialist Friedrich Alfred Krupp and were originally named Krupp Gardens in his honour.

Day 7: Naples: Amalfi Coast Experience - Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello (8 hours)

Discover the breathtaking Amalfi Coast on this small group tour, limited to 18 participants. Stop to take in the stunning scenery en route to Positano, where you will spend an hour soaking in its beauty. Continue your journey to Amalfi, passing picturesque villages such as Praiano, Furore, and Conca dei Marini. Enjoy about 2 hours in Amalfi to learn about its traditional handmade paper.

Destination Nugget: The Grotta dello Smeraldo, a spectacular karst cavity, is the main attraction of Conca dei Marini. It was officially discovered by  Luigi Buonocore in 1932, however it was well-known up to a century earlier.

Day 8: Naples - Rome

Check out of your hotel and proceed to the station to catch your train to Rome. Check in to your hotel on arrival and spend another leisurely day in your comfort.

Day 9: Rome - Skip the Line Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Roman Forum AM on SIC basis (3 hrs)

Start the day’s tour at the Colle Oppio one of the world-famous Seven Hills of Rome which offers a panoramic view of the Colosseum. After taking in the magnificence of this ancient Roman monument, it is time to skip the line and get a look from the inside. Relive the amphitheatre’s bloody past as an expert guide shares with you tales of executions, gladiators, and mock sea battles. Then, move on to The Arch of Constantine and pass into the complex of Palatine Hill, Rome’s most famous hill. And finally, walk along the “Via Sacra” an ancient Roman road to the Temple of Caesar. See the altar where Julius Caesar was cremated at this temple.

The tour cost covers skip-the-line entrance tickets for the Colosseum and Palatine Hill, guide service along with headsets to enable hearing the guide better.

Destination Nuggets: Palatine Hill is where Rome’s legendary founders Romulus and Remus were said to be found and raised by the she-wolf who also nursed them.

Day 10: Rome - Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica on SIC basis (4 hours)

Skip the long line for guided tours of the Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museums, and St. Peter’s Basilica, and see some of the world’s most renowned art collections. Admire the Geographical Maps and the Gallery of Tapestries and then proceed to the magnificent Sistine Chapel and the unforgettable Basilica.

The tour cost covers hotel pickup, entrance ticket, skip the line, headsets, and guide service.

Destination Nuggets: The Sistine Chapel is best known for its frescoes painted by the legendary artist Michael Angelo. Interestingly he turned down the job, and even when he did finally accept, he was said to have been racked with self-doubt.

Day 11: Rome Departure

Enjoy breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to the Airport for your return flight.
