What To Expect

Day 1: Cochin to Munnar

(Distance: 140 Kms | Driving Time: 4 hrs)

Upon arrival at Cochin International Airport, you will be greeted by our executive. After checking into your hotel, embark on a drive to Munnar, renowned as the green paradise of Kerala, famous for its extensive spice and tea plantations, as well as its diverse flora and fauna. Along the way, visit two magnificent waterfalls, then check in to your hill resort. Spend the afternoon as you wish—relax at the resort or explore Munnar Town and its nearby attractions.

Stay overnight in Munnar.

Destination Nugget: Munnar is also known for its stunning rolling hills covered in tea gardens, making it a photographer’s dream!

Day 2: Munnar Sightseeing

After a hearty breakfast, start your day with a visit to Mattupetty Dam, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the picturesque landscapes. Next, explore the tranquil Kundala Lake, surrounded by lush forests and offering a stunning view of the Western Ghats. Visit the Eco Point, admired for its refreshing tea plantations, and then spend the afternoon at Eravikulam National Park, a crucial conservation area for the Nilgiri Tahr.

Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Munnar.

Destination Nugget: Eravikulam National Park is home to the annual blooming of Neelakurinji, a flower that blossoms once every 12 years, blanketing the hills in blue!

Day 3: Munnar to Thekkady

(Distance: 110 km | Driving Time: 4 hrs)

Check out of the hotel after breakfast and head to Thekkady, one of Kerala’s premier wildlife destinations, known for its fragrant spices. Enjoy the scenic view of the magnificent hills and meandering valleys of the Western Ghats on your way. After checking into your hotel, you can choose between an elephant ride, a plantation visit, or indulging in an Ayurvedic massage treatment. You may also opt for a boat ride on the enchanting Periyar Lake, where you can spot wildlife such as sambar, bison, deer, and elephants along the shoreline.

Spend the night in Thekkady.

Day 4: Thekkady to Kumarakom

After breakfast and hotel check-out, set off for Kumarakom, a delightful dreamland renowned for its labyrinth of shimmering backwaters, lush mangrove forests, and migratory birds. Kumarakom is often rated highly by travel magazines and is considered one of the best places to experience Kerala’s natural beauty.

Day 5: Kumarakom to Cochin

Post breakfast, check out of your hotel and drive to Alleppey, often referred to as the “Venice of the East” due to its vast stretches of backwaters. At noon, board a local houseboat to enjoy the serene beauty of the backwaters. Experience the breathtaking sights of the isolated villages along the Vembanadu Backwaters while enjoying a delicious lunch and evening tea on board.

In the evening, transfer to Cochin for an overnight stay.
